Science in Focus: Physics for GCE ‘O’ Level Practical Workbook has been prepared to help students handle various experimental techniques in the Physics section of the new GCE ‘O’ Level Science syllabus. A three step approach has been taken to achieve this objective.
Basic experimental skills are short notes for the student covering skills like taking measurements, recording of experimental data, significant figures, drawing graphs and experimental precautions. The Experiments section has simulated examination papers to test students' level of skills and understanding. Actual past year practical examinations are included in the examination Questions section to further test students' abilities.
1. Treatment of experimental data
2. Measurement of length
3. Measurement of volume and mass
4. Measurement of time
5. Measurement of temperature
6. Measurement of angles
7. Measurement of electric current and potential difference
8. Experiments
9. G.C.E. 'O' level science (physics) practical papers
