DR TAN CHENG LIM has been teaching English comminication skills at the Centre For English Language Communication (CELC), National University of Singapore (NUS) since 1980, first as a senior lecturer and later as a senior fellow. Before then, Dr Tan was a lecturer at the Language Centre of nanyang University, where he started lecturing in 1971. Dr Tan retired from full-time teaching in May 2002.
