This textbook has been designed for use in an advanced reading course for graduate students. It deals with four main themes: (1)nature of reading, (2) reading theories/model, (3) reading strategies for attacking words and (4) strategies for reading different genres. namely textbooks, research-oriented journal articales, newpapers, and magazine. Questions are given at the end of each chapter to remind the students of the main points and some questions are available for discussion. Also, references are provided at the end of each chapter so that the students can search for more information.
