Help lines cost money and don’t always give good advice, repair shops cost even more money and keep your PC for days. So why bother with them? All you really need is a bit of common sense and a copy of Windows XP Troubleshooting in easy steps.

Windows XP Troubleshooting in easy steps is written primarily to help you overcome any fault that is preventing XP from running correctly such as failure to start. However, it also troubleshoots all other parts of a computer system, providing concise, easy-to-follow instructions that will literally take you by the hand and guide you to a successful conclusion.

There are chapters on boot-up, disk drives, system instability, modems, the Internet, email, peripheral devices such as scanners and printers, multimedia and video to name just some. Latest technology such as digital cameras, broadband and CD/DVD writing are also covered.

There are many security issues with XP that leave you open to attack from viruses and browser hijacks. You are shown how to protect yourselves from these problems.

You will also find many tips and tricks. These range from getting rid of XP’s “annoyances” such as error reports to getting the best possible performance from XP.
