NTC's English Idioms Dictionary is complied and edited by lexicographers Richard A. Spears and Betty Kirkpatrick. It provides over 11,000 examples of usage for 5,500 idioms in use in English. The entries, which are mainly standard British English, also include slang and informal exprssions.
