A child's early experiences using and creating technologies are important learning events that will help prepare them for life in a time of rapid technological changde. This book has been written to help in-service and pre-service teachers develop programs and work effectively with children to develop their technological capabilities.
Technology for Children draws on contemporary research into how technology education is actually practised in Australia. The authors encourage readers to reflect on their own conceptions of technology and to consider a range of approaches ot technology education, while developing their own approach to teaching in this important area.
