You and Your Body ia s six-book series designed to introduce students in Grades 1-6 to a variety of health topics. Each book contains activities that address nutrition, dental health, fitness, safety, growth and development, social/emotional health, disease prevention, and druguse prevention. While these skills books are not intended to serve as a replacement for a full health education curriculum, they can provide students, working independently, with a basic understanding of each topic area.
At the beginning of each module, students are provided with health information that they must then apply in order to complete the activities that follow. The activities consist of games, crosswords, moltiple-choice quizzes, mystery phrases, mazes, etc. The activities are fun and engaging for the students, and also provide valuable health information. The Annotated Teacher's editions include answers to questions and activities within the text, as well as recommended teaching strategies and activity objectives at the bottom of each page.
