Beginning & intermediate level. This three-level course offers 20 engaging, task-based units built around a specific topic, function, or grammatical theme. Students learn to listen for specific information, and make inferences. The CDs use a variety of voices and regional accents to familiarize the students with patterns of American English. The readings provide cross-cultural exposure to life in America. The testing package (for all levels) includes 6 multiple-choice tests and a cassette which can be used as midterm and final exams.
