Project video 1 is a unique resource, offering video-led project work for students beginning English in lower secondary schools. It comprises two thirty minute video cassettes, accompanied by an Activity Book and a Video Guide. The video can be used as a component of Project English 1 or as an independent project based video course.
The video explores eight themes, using a documentary format of location reporting. Tom Hutchinson, author of the Project English course, presents each of these themes in an original and stimulating way.
The Activity Book offers full exploitation of the video and follow-up activities in the form of language practice, word games and preparation for project work. It also includes a language review section and transcripts of the video. The teacher's Video Guide gives a full introduction to project work and detailed guidance to using the video.
