The biggest changes in this edition are the inclusion of several new features. First, we have added a feature we call Crossword Comprehension. One of the things many of us do when we get a morning paper is to tackle the crossword puzzle. There's something therapeutic, exciting, and intellectual about working a crossword problem. We feel that same energy can also be placed on studying the basics of management. So we took the key concepts from each chapter and developed a crossword puzzle for them. This is simply another way to reinforce comprehension, and in a form that dosen't seem like work. Unlike the daily newspaper, however, students don't have to wait until tomorrow for the answers. We've provided the answers for them in the back of the book for immediate feedback and reinforcement.
Reviewers told us that many students prefer self-assessment in their text . So we've put self-assessments thoughout the book, with scoring keys in the back. In addition, addition self-assessments are available free as part of our technology learning tools, the Prentice Hall Self-Assessment Library,3.0.
